Jax Taylor heads home after seeking inpatient treatment for his recent “mental health issues.”

Taylor, 45, began a 30-day treatment program in late July after he separated from his wife Brittany Cartwrightwith whom he shares son Cruz, 3.
“Jax has always been outspoken about his mental health struggles, especially in recent months on his podcast,” a rep for Taylor said. Cartwright, 35, announced in February that she and Taylor were “distanced for a while” and that she had moved out of the couple’s marital home.
“So many of you have asked me about Jax and I and our relationship. I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you,” Cartwright shared on a February episode of the couple’s “When Reality Hits Home” podcast. “I don’t want it to seem like I’m lying or anything like that. That’s why I think it’s important that I say this.”
“Jax and I are taking some time apart and I have made the decision to move to another house to take some space for the sake of my mental health. I won’t go into too much detail now because this is still very difficult to talk about,” Cartwright added.
Cartwright said this exclusively in April Us that she felt like she had let several issues slide into her marriage over the years.
‘I have forgiven [him] for things I shouldn’t have done over the years, but I just always loved him so much and always supported him no matter what,” Cartwright said. “I always stand up for him, always apologize, always clean up the mess, and after nine years that can be quite exhausting. I think we go up and down. Even he goes up, up and down. At first he didn’t want me to leave, but I think he’s leaning into it a little more now.
On a May episode of “When Reality Hits Home,” Taylor said the couple agreed they could see other people.
“We’re both on the same page when it comes to dating other people. That’s okay,” he said Valley star explained. “We both agree that this is okay. But the most important thing is our son.”
Taylor added, “Part of taking some time out means discovering other people. All marriages are different, but this is what is right for our marriage. This is something we’ve talked about and we’re on the same page. We have a few more rules, but we are investigating this.”
