Production starts on season 2 of Prime Video Aussie Series

Hit Amazon Australian Series, heading into second season

Production began in Darwin, Northern Territory, on season 2 of Prime Video‘s Australian comedy series “Deadloch.” Filming will later move to Brisbane, Queensland.

The first season brought together two very different female detectives to solve the murder of a man and was set in Tasmania. While the second season sees the return of Kate Box And Madeleine Sami as detectives Dulcie Collins and Eddie Redcliffe, they are joined by Steve Bisley (“The Great Gatsby”), Shari Sebbens (“The Sapphires”), writer Jean Tong (“Heartbreak High”) and in their acting debut roles Genevieve Morris, Byron Coll, Nikki Britton, Anthony J Sharpe, Blake Pavey, Damien Garvey, Ngali Shaw, Bev Killick, Ling Cooper-Tang, Ursula Yovich, Syd Brisbane, Ines English and Lennox Monaghan.

“Deadloch” S2 was created and written by Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan who also serve as executive producers alongside Kevin Whyte and Tanya Phegan Guesswork television. Andy Walker is the producer. The series is directed by Beck Cole and Gracie Otto. “Deadloch” is produced by Guesswork Television, OK Great Productions and Amazon MGM Studios. It is funded with the help of Screen Territory through its Production Attractions Incentive Program and supported by the Queensland Government Screen Queensland‘s production attraction strategy.

NEO-YEAR COMEDY

Jack Neo, consistently Singapore’s most commercially successful filmmaker, is gearing up to produce “AI Ping Cai Hui Ying,” a comedy film about AI and ordinary people. Neo told local media that he will shoot the film next month and plans to release the film in time for the Chinese New Year holidays in late January 2025. He reported a budget of S$2.5 million ($1.92 million) and that he is still looking for investors and distributors.

JEE WIZ

International star Akon will bring his “Akon The Superfan Tour Live” to Malaysia on November 19 at the Mega Star Arena in Kuala Lumpur, and the following day to the Arena @Expo in Singapore. The organizer of the two concerts is Jeeharris Entertainment, the management company founded by Malaysian singer and actor Harris Baba.
