Cissy blames Brown for her late daughter’s tragic death.
His tribute, in which he sent his “love and blessings”, was particularly appreciated, according to insiders.
A source said RadarOnline.com: “Bobby should have stayed far away from sending this tribute.
“Cissy went to her grave despising him and believing he abused her daughter and got her addicted to the drugs that ultimately led to her death.

Brown’s tribute to Cissy was not appreciated by the Houston family.

“He should have kept his mouth shut because the Houston family wants nothing to do with him. He reminds them of nothing but tragedy and pain, and his words rub salt in the wounds of their latest devastating loss.”
Cissy died at the age of 91 while receiving hospice care for Alzheimer’s disease.
RadarOnline.com unveiled this week she took her guilt over Whitney’s death to her gravebelieving that as a mother she failed to get her daughter off drugs.

Houston and Brown were married for fourteen years.

Brown, who was married to Houston for 14 years, shared a joint message with his current wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown to mark the passing of his former mother-in-law, writing: ‘Sending love and blessings to the Houston family on this wonderful day . loss.
‘May she rest in peace and strength. The Browns.’
Cissy, however, hated Brown, which earned his tribute somewhat from the Houstons.
RadarOnline.com Tuesday revealed how much Cissy hated her former son-in-law.

Cissy claimed that Brown turned Whitney to drugs and that she was never able to beat the addiction.

A source told us: “Cissy died such a tragic death – she suffered more than just despair at the loss of Whitney and (granddaughter) Bobbi Christinashe went to her grave full of anger. Her ex Bobby was left to live a full life, seemingly untroubled by the horrific treatment she knew he had subjected Whitney to.
“It was such a tortured life for such a talented woman.”

Cissy has never suppressed her feelings toward Brown — and she made it clear that she blamed him for her daughter’s death at Whitney’s memorial service in 2012.
Sources told Brown before the service: “I hate you. You killed my daughter by putting her on drugs. The day she married you was the worst day of my life.”
Brown called Cissy to ask if he could attend the private viewing of Whitney’s body in an open casket at Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey.

A source recalls, “Cissy reluctantly agreed to let Bobby attend the funeral, but she flatly refused his request to come to the private viewing.
“She told Bobby, ‘It’s just for family. Whitney wouldn’t have wanted you there. None of us want you there.”
“Then she added, ‘And if you come to church, you should know that you are not welcome.'”
