Justin Hartley‘s marriage to Sofia Pernas comes with many perks, including making cameos on his show Follower whenever he wants.
“Obviously I have her because I live with her,” Hartley, 47, joked on Max’s Friday, October 25, episode. Who’s talking to Chris Wallace? “It’s not even a phone call.”
Hartley didn’t have to do much to get Pernas, 35, on board. “It’s like, ‘Hey, honey. Come on, let’s get to work,” he added. “But that’s nice when you can work together with people you love.”
According to Hartley, Pernas will make several appearances in Season 2 of the hit CBS series.
‘She’ll come by next week. She’s coming back a few times,” he teased about her first return, which aired on Sunday, October 27. ‘It’s great. It’s great to have her. She is a light and we get the best guest stars on our show.
Based on Jeffery Deaver‘s novel The Never GameTracker centers on a survivalist named Colter (Hartley) who travels across the country solving various mysteries. Hartley not only stars in the show, but also serves as executive producer, which allowed him to surprise viewers with exciting guest stars like Pernas, Jensen Ackles, Melissa Roxburgh, Jennifer Morrison and more.
Despite their busy schedules, Hartley praised the cast for making an effort to return when they can.
‘In a perfect world we would see [Jensen] as much as we can. However, he is a busy man. So we’ll see what we can do, and the same goes for Melissa. We don’t need eight or nine, but it would be good to have a few with him and a few with Sofia,” Hartley said. The cover in May. “I think we can tell Sofia a little bit more about it just because there’s that backstory with Billie and Colter and we’re trying to figure out what the heck that was with Jennifer Morrison’s character.”
Hartley also teased some of the overarching storylines for the next season, tellingly Term that same month: “We still have a whole other season to film that we have to make better than Season 1. So while we wanted to wrap up all those storylines, we also wanted those bows to sort of lead to other questions – bigger, deeper. questions – about his past. So I think we did that by answering some of these questions that we had been building up all year. I think we did a good job of making sure that the answers to those questions lead to a bigger mystery, something that we can unpack in Season 2.”
While Follower fans can look forward to the return of most of their favorite characters, the show had to write off a key cast member. Tracker spoke during the season 2 premiere, which aired earlier this month Robin Weigert‘s shocking departure from her role as Teddi.
“[Teddi] is going to be [gone] for a while. She helps her mother clean up. I was in the way, you would say, and that was really not good,” says Velma (Abby McEnany) said about the distance between her and her wife. “So I came back. Don’t worry, because I’m busy.”
