Pippa Fitz-Amobi will solve another mystery in “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,” which has been renewed by Netflix for a second season.
The new six-episode season picks up in the aftermath of Pip (played by Emma Myers) and Ravi Singh (Zain Iqbal) getting to the bottom of what happened to missing student Andie Bell.
Based on “Good Girl, Bad Blood,” the second book in Holly Jackson’s bestselling YA mystery series, season 2 will be adapted and written by Jackson and Poppy Cogan, who also adapted the first book.
Season 2 will begin filming in 2025. The logline reads in part: “As Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears and Pip finds himself in a race against time to find him. This new mystery will take Pip to unexpected places as she struggles with the idea of justice and drifts even further from the ‘good girl’ she once was.”
Jackson said in a statement: “I’m BEYOND happy that we can continue Pip’s story and this time I’m writing about the show! We owe everything to the dedicated fans, and I can’t wait to reunite with my ‘AGGGTM’ family!”
Cogan added: “I’m thrilled to be back in Little Kilton with Pip and friends for season 2 and to have the opportunity to bring another of Holly’s moving stories to the screen.”
“A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder” is produced by Moonage Pictures (“The Gentlemen”, “The Famous Five”, “Bodies”) for BBC iPlayer and BBC Three in co-production with Netflix and ZDFneo
