Derek Hough joins in the fun of scenes from the past Dancing with the stars go viral.

In a video shared via Instagram on Monday, November 25, Hough, 39, reposted a clip of a confessional with partner from season 6 Shannon Elizabeth from 2008. (The show no longer has pros and partners who record confessional responses.)

‘Are they coming to our hip promotion? What about the heel leads that happen there? Hough said as Elizabeth dabbed a tissue near her eye. “What about the heel straps, the feet coming off the floor, the horrible crazy lines that people make there? And you give them nines and tens. Are you kidding?’ The text above the video read: “Derek gets mad at the judges.”

While remaking contemporary music videos, Hough voiced his complaints to the judges Bruno Tonioli – who seemed shocked by the tirade – and Carrie Ann Inaba.

“After 15 years I could finally say what I really feel… to their faces! 😂😂. Let’s just say the early days of @dancingwiththestars had a little more drama 🎭 and intensity 🔥 than they do now,” Hough captioned his upload. “Nobody knows more about disagreeing with the judges than Baby Derek. 😂.”

Hough quickly got laughs from past and present DWTS pros in the comments section of his post.

“Demented lines 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣,” Emma Slater wrote, while Maksim Chmerkovskiy added, “lol.” Hough’s sister, Juliannereplied, “Oooooooh baby Derek hahhaa 😂,” and his wife, Hayley Erbert Houghchimed in: “Watching you get angry and look like a 12 year old boy is quite entertaining 😂😂♥️.”

A season after Hough’s outburst, he took home the Mirrorball Trophy with season 7 partner Brooke Burke. Hough went on to win the coveted competition in season 10 with Nicole Scherzingerseason 11 with Jennifer Grayseason 16 with Kellie Picklerseason 17 with Amber Rileyseason 21 with Bindi Irwin.

“I wish I was as good as Len,” Hough said exclusively Us in September. “[He’s] absolutely irreplaceable. … His statements and his ‘lenisms’ were simply iconic.”

Hough explained that he is trying to follow in Goodman’s footsteps and “talk a little more about the details,” but noted that this can be a challenge given the time constraints when speaking with each couple.

“It’s always hard, especially in these first few weeks, because there’s so little time to say anything,” he said. “I feel like I’m rushing to get it in.”

The three o’clock Dancing with the stars season finale airs Tuesday, November 26 at 8pm ET on ABC and Disney+. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Disney+.
