Inter’s match against Fiorentina was suspended after midfielder Edoardo Bove collapsed in the 17th minute on Sunday. Bove, the Viola’s young talent, was quickly attended to by the medical staff and was surrounded by players from both teams as medical professionals attended to him. He was then carried off the pitch and placed in an ambulance in the corner of the stadium.

“The match will not be resumed and will be postponed to a date to be determined. When the match was interrupted, Bove fell to the ground and the situation immediately seemed very serious. An ambulance has taken the player away, news is awaited.” The official website of Serie A has been posted.

There are no official indications of the player’s condition at this stage.

Who is Edoardo Bove?

The 22-year-old plays as a left winger for Fiorentina, on loan from Roma. An emerging talent for the Italian national team, Bove has been a regular in the U-21 side this season, making six appearances this season. He has made 14 appearances for Fiorentina, scoring one goal and three assists in all competitions this season. Bove has become a regular starter for the side and has been a key part of the Viola’s strong form, which has seen them rise into the top four of Serie A as things stand.
