France’s far left has also urged President Emmanuel Macron to hold early presidential elections.
Paris:
France’s far left on Wednesday called on President Emmanuel Macron to resign and hold early presidential elections, after lawmakers voted to oust Prime Minister Michel Barnier’s government.
“We now call on Macron to leave,” Mathilde Panot, the head of the parliamentary group of the far-left party France Unbowed (LFI), told reporters, urging “early presidential elections” to stem a deepening political crisis to solve.
