Camila Morrone and Adam DiMarco are officially set to star in the upcoming Netflix horror series ‘Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen’.
In November it was reported that the pair were in talks to star in the series, which itself was ordered from Netflix in July. The show comes from creator Haley Z. Boston and is executive produced by “Stranger Things” creators the Duffer brothers under their overall deal with Netflix.
Additionally, Weronika Tofilska is on board the series as an executive producer and will direct four episodes. Tofilska recently received an Emmy nomination for directing the hit Netflix series “Baby Reindeer.”
The official logline for ‘Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen’ says the show is an ‘atmospheric horror series set at a wedding, following a bride (Morrone) and groom (DiMarco) in the week leading up to their ill-fated wedding . That’s not a spoiler, just read the title…’
Morrone recently starred in the critically acclaimed Amazon series “Daisy Jones & The Six,” for which she received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series. She will next appear in the upcoming second season of “The Night Manager” for the BBC and Amazon. In film, Morrone is known for her roles in feature films such as ‘Bukowski’, ‘Death Wish’, ‘Marmalade’ and ‘Gonzo Girl’.
She is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Hansen Jacobson.
DiMarco recently starred in the second season of HBO’s Emmy-winning drama ‘The White Lotus’ in the role of Albie. He is also known for his roles in shows like ‘The Order’ on Netflix and ‘The Magicians’ on Syfy. He is currently attached for a role in Benito Skinner’s upcoming Amazon series “Overcompensating.”
He is represented by UTA, The Characters and Canopy Media Partners.
In addition to creating “Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen,” Boston serves as executive producer and showrunner. Duffers and Hilary Leavitt are executive produced via Upside Down Pictures. Andrea Sperling is also executive producer, as is Tofilska. Both Sperling and Upside Down are under general deals at Netflix.
