It’s unclear what exactly Will’s role is, but as you can see, he’s dressed to the nines in a sharp Clark Kent-style suit as he dabs Gunn and then gives him a hug – while others on set blows, so it appears he had just completed filming his scenes.
One thing is certain: he is not playing the title role, because that is filled by David CorenswetWho is been rocking the classic blue and red suit around Cleveland.
Nevertheless, Will doesn’t have to do much homework for the film, as his father is basically synonymous with the character. He dived into the role in 1978’s “Superman: The Movie” and continued to let the “S” fly across his chest through three sequels. until 1987.
Twenty years after Christopher’s death at the age of 52, Gunn is clearly hard at work on his new vision for the DC Cinematic Universe, set for release in July ’25.
