Along with the launch of One UI 7, Samsung plans to update its Good Lock app and make it available globally via the Google Play Store.
Good Lock is an app that allows users to customize and change various aspects of Samsung’s interface. It was previously limited to certain regions and is only available through the Galaxy Store.
Samsung confirmed the news on a forum, saying (translated from Korean): “From One UI 7.0 Good Lock, Good Lock can be downloaded from both Play Store and Galaxy Store, and Good Lock can be used in all countries. This is something that many customers have been asking for, and we expect it will provide easier accessibility to more Galaxy users.”
In addition to global availability, Good Lock will also have a redesigned user interface that promises better usability. The new design includes filters for specific Good Lock apps and a new “My Page” tab to help users better manage their Good Lock apps.
One UI 7 is based on Android 15 and is available in beta for the Galaxy S24 series. The operating system is expected to launch on the Galaxy S25 series later in January.
