The Denver Broncos fell to the Cincinnati Bengals in overtime on the road last weekend, missing the opportunity to end the Miami Dolphins’ postseason hopes and earn their first postseason trip in eight years. The Dolphins still have a shot at the postseason, thanks to that outcome and their win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.

In Week 18, the Dolphins will face the 4-12 New York Jets, who are currently seventh in the 2025 NFL draft order. Miami will qualify for the playoffs for the third straight season if they win and the Broncos lose at home to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Miami’s injury report for the crucial Week 18 game is below.

Miami Dolphins injury report for Week 18

The Miami Dolphins’ injury situation continues to be dominated by quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s hip problem, but on Wednesday three players missed practice entirely due to injuries.

Additionally, offensive tackle Kendall Lamm was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday. It’s unclear what landed Lamm on injured reserve, as he played in Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers and Sunday against Cleveland after missing the Week 15 game against the Houston Texans due to a back injury.

Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr. (knee), safety Jordan Poyer (knee/finger) and offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee) also missed practice in Miami on Wednesday. Defensive tackle Calais Campbell (rest) was also DNP, but he is not dealing with an injury.

Walker has not yet returned to practice after missing last week’s win over the Cleveland Browns. As for Armstead, he suffered a knee injury in the first half of last weekend’s game and never returned.

Four other key Dolphins players were also listed as limited participants in Wednesday’s practice: safety Jevon Holland (wrist), punter Jake Bailey (back), wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (knee), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (wrist/brace) and Tagovailoa (hip).

Tagovailoa is dealing with a hip injury he suffered in Week 15 against the Houston Texans. He was able to play against the 49ers in Week 16 with the injury, but was unable to play against the Browns last week.

Coach Mike McDaniel announced Wednesday that the team would have backup quarterback Tyler Huntley ready as QB1 for Week 18. Additionally, he stated that the team would have time to return to Tagovailoa as the week progresses if he fully recovers.

Linebacker Duke Riley participated fully in practice Wednesday despite having a foot issue listed on the injury report.
