A Texas business owner has become popular on social media after he refused to repair two Hitler Youth knives from the First World War, brought in by Nazi sympathizers. Johnathan Sibley, co-owner of the Blade Bar in Edom, did not have a problem with not only the knives, but also with the specific repair requests of the customers with the entire incident on the camera.
According to the clip, the couple, which is not identified, entered the store at around 1 p.m. Localtimee, with two covered blades. “What do we want to put in,” Mr. Sibley could be heard to ask the customers in the exhibition on video.
“I need the emblem there,” the woman replied, pointing to a Nazi symbol on the handle of the knife, and added that she wanted to place it on the second weapon.
“No, won’t do it,” Mr. Sibley replied immediately.
“No, you have Nazi bulls ** t. If you wanted a modern German forest’s seal from something in … I will be s ** t de nargifiers, but I will not conquer again.”
According to the National Holocaust Center and Museum, Hitler Youth was the youth body of the Nazi party that the children wanted to indoctrinate in Nazi ideology. The group was declared illegal after the war.
Quizzed about the incident, Mr. Sibley said CBS19: “I have spent more time on Tiktok in the last three days than I have ever spent cumulatively on Tiktok and it is not even to watch videos that only try to read and respond to comments,”
“Shame the people who walked in there,” thanked Rabbi Neal Katz from Congregation Beth El in Tyle Mr. Sibley for his efforts. “We apparently have that parents or grandparents go in there and try to get parapernalia that is so offensive and disgusting for the world, but they do it so brutally and openly.”
