A skier was found dead in Winter Park Resort last month after his girlfriend reported him missing on the slopes, the police said.
The man’s girlfriend reported him missing just before 5 p.m. on Sunday 26 January, according to a release of the police of Fraser Winter Park.
She told officers that her friend did not show up to bring the ski train back to Denver, the police said. The train runs from the Union Station from Denver to the Basic of Winter Park and is planned to leave the ski area daily at 4.30 pm from Thursday to Monday at 4.30 p.m.
The police said they started the phone of the man and members of the Ski Patrouilles winter park searching for the missing skier, but they were not lucky.
After a second, more detailed telephone trace, search teams found the missing man partially buried in snow in a wooded area near the Mary Jane Ski -Run, the police said in the release.
CPR, efforts were not successful, according to the release, and the man was declared dead at 7:53 pm
The Grand County Coroner office will release the identity and cause of the skier’s cause of the skier at a later time.
