Filipinxt expands the global footprint of Filipino Fashion at NYFW

FilipinxA platform in Filippijns that focuses on defending the creativity and craftsmanship of Filipino designers makes the headlines because it protects a place on the official calendar of the New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2025.

For Rob Mallari-D’auria, co-founder of Filipinxt and a versatile Filipino designer, lawyer and entrepreneur, this milestone is more than just a personal performance; It is a historic moment for the entire Filipino fashion industry.

He emphasizes that the recording of Filipinxt in NYFW Is not just about presenting individual talent, but about honoring depth, artistry and global significance of Filipin’s craftsmanship.

“Filipinxt is more than a fashion platform-it is a movement that shows the pride, passion and innovation of the Filipino people,” said Mallari-D’auria.

With his third performance at one of the world’s most iconic fashion events, Filipinxt Filipin’s talent continues to defend on the world-famous platform. Building on the success of his first show in May 2024 and the spring/summer 2025 show in September 2024, the platform remains devoted to presenting the depth of Filipino creativity.

On the third day of NYFW, 8 February 2025, at 3 p.m., Filipinxt takes the spotlight on 4W43, and this remarkable presentation will have amazing collections of five leading Filipino designers and creatives. Every designer brings his unique vision, heritage and craftsmanship to the runway.

Bessie Besana, co-founder of Filipinxt and a renowned Filipino fashion designer, is celebrated because of its formal wear that combines contemporary aesthetics with a deep understanding of the natural beauty of the human body.

Jasmine Baac, the founder of Bagoyan, will present contemporary designs that are deeply rooted in the Filipino heritage, with a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity.

Leo Bartolome, creative director of Edited Limited, is known for his innovative approach to fashion that creates contemporary pieces with deadstock, old garments and renovated fabrics. His work is a representation of Filipin’s craftsmanship, with influences from Japanese and other Asian styles.

Adante Leyesa, a wealthy Filipino designer, specializes in handmade statement accessories and bags. His work is known for his complicated designs, unique details and partnerships with local artisans to breathe new life into traditional Filipino techniques such as beads, embroidery and carpet.

Gabby Garcia, the founder of Tagpi, offers designs that celebrate Filipin’s craftsmanship and heritage. What started as a passion project during the Pandemie has flourished a social enterprise that combines Applique with traditional Filipino tissues that create portable stories that honor Filipino craftsmen and their craft.

Together these designers will present the lively talent and cultural heritage of the Philippines to offer a powerful representation of Filipino creativity in the global fashion phase.
