According to the Denver Sheriff Department, a male prisoner was pronounced on Saturday morning in Denver’s downtown Detention Center.
The department wrote in a press release that the prisoner did not respond in prison at 60 hours in a housing unit in prison, and a medical emergency team tried in vain to breathe new life into him.
Delegates did not say what the death of the prisoner may have caused.
“To ensure that the research is not affected, we are limited in which information can be shared at the moment,” the department wrote.
The Denver police investigate the incident. The prisoner will be identified by the office of the medical researcher, who will also determine his cause of death.
