JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon said on Monday that the American government is inefficient and needs work, since the Trump government ends and works thousands of federal employees to dismantle agencies, including the Bureau of Financial Protection of Consumers.
Dimon was asked by the Leslie picker of CNBC if he supported the efforts of the advisory body of Elon Musk, the Ministry of Government Efficiency. He refused to give what he called a “binary” reaction, but made comments that supported the overall effort.
“The government is inefficient, not very competent and needs a lot of work,” said Dimon Picker. “It’s not just waste and fraud, they are results.”
The effort of the Trump government to collapse the expenses and to investigate federal agencies “must be done”, Dimon added.
“Why do we spend the money on these things? Do we get what we earn? What should we change?” Dimon said. “It’s not just about the deficit, it’s about building up the right policy and the procedures and the government we earn.”
Dimon said that if Doge transmits his cost -saving efforts or activities that are not legal, “the courts will stop.”
“I hope it is pretty successful,” he said.
In the broad interview, Dimon also addressed the push of his company to have most of the employees in office five days a week, as well as his views on the conflict, rates of Ukraine and the American consumer.
