Boulder County District Attorney Michael Dougherty launched his bid on Tuesday on the Attorney General of Colorado, making him the first candidate to formally announce his intention to find the office.
Dougherty, a democrat, has been for the 20th judicial district since the then district lawyer. John Hickenlooper appointed him in the position in 2018. He was most recently re -elected in November, in a race where he did not get an opposition.
