If you eagerly wait for Apple’s AI-driven Siri upgrade, brace while the wait just got longer.
Originally expected with iOS 18.4 in April in April, the Big Siri -Upgrade would last longer than that.
However, it appears that Siri is more difficult than Apple expected and that the upgrade is now being officially delayed. In a statement to the daring Fireball spokeswoman Jacqueline Roy from Apple that a more personalized Siri is still working, but it will take longer than planned.
Apple now says that these functions will “roll out in the coming year”, which probably means 2026, but there is also hope for a release of the end of 2025.

The goal is to make Siri context conscious and able to seamlessly process tasks in apps. Although this sounds promising, developing seems to be a major challenge, and Apple can integrate Google Gemini into Siri to speed up the process.
Originally plagued on WWDC 2024, the new Siri was expected in an iOS 18 update, but it now seems more likely to arrive with iOS 19 or even iOS 20. Although Apple’s decision to reduce the launch can mean that they strive for a polished product, skepticism remains high.
