Taylor Swift‘s concerts in Austria have been canceled due to government concerns about a planned terrorist attack … despite TMZ confirming that two men have already been arrested over the alleged plot.
Authorities are not entirely sure they have caught all the terrorists involved in the planned attack. They say the threat has been “minimized” but that an “abstract” threat still lurks.
That’s what the Vienna police say arrested 2 Austrian citizens after a bomb squad found bomb-making materials in the home of a 19-year-old suspect.
Police said both men had been radicalized and had pledged allegiance to Islamic State.
Authorities believe the men targeted one of three shows scheduled to begin in Vienna this weekend.
Vienna authorities said: “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Vienna shows have been canceled due to confirmation by government officials of a planned terrorist attack… We have no choice but to cancel the three planned shows for everyone’s safety.”
The venue will provide full refunds to potential concertgoers.
It is unclear whether the planned attack will impact Taylor’s upcoming shows. She will perform in London at Wembley Stadium for a week from Thursday.
