A troll came for LeVar Burton’s “happy” message and spectacularly missed the point

Like a rainbow, LeVar Burton’s ‘Happy Thursday’ message went completely over the head of an online troll.

But while Burton’s message was warmly received by most, one user seemed to take serious offense to the rainbow that appeared in the GIF.

“I’m not sure what the ‘rainbow’ has to do with it being Thursday,” they said angrily, seemingly enraged at the appearance of the rainbow, a symbol of LGBTQ pride.

“Can we go a day without any virtue signaling?” the user smoked.

The post received a community note noting Burton’s longstanding involvement with the beloved series, which literally has the word “rainbow” in the title.
