Spoiler alert: This story contains spoilers for season 3, episode 2 of “The White Lotus”, now streaming at Max.
“The White Lotus” made another surprise in the second episode of season 3, with an Oscar-winning actor who made a voice cameo.
Yes, that was “everything all everywhere at the same time” star Ke Huy Quan on the other side of that panic area.
In the first episode of the season, the Ratliff Patriarch Timothy (Jason Isaacs) is contacted by journalists who ask about a number of shady financial things that he might have been involved a few years ago, so he leaves his former business partner Kenny a voicemail. In episode 2 Kenny finally calls Timothy back and is revealed as a quan. (The actor is not mentioned in the delivery credits or credited for the Voice Cameo on IMDb.)
“Why does the Wall Street Journal me, Kenny?” Timothy asks his old friend.
“I don’t care about the damn story,” Kenny replies frantically. “Because 20 agents have just attacked my office! Fuck me. I’m ready. “
While Kenny makes the opportunity to go to prison, Timothy starts to sound guilty: “You told me that this could not happen. You sworn damn that this could not happen. ”
“I didn’t think a whistleblower in my office would rats to the media and the damn FBI,” Kenny replies. The situation sounds terrible: Kenny says that the FBI has seized everything: “My accounts, my e -mails, all damn documents.”
Kenny also reveals that he calls a burner telephone and tells Timothy that he is certainly involved.
“This was a favor for you, you remember?” Timothy calls. “I didn’t want to do it! This was all, and now I am packed in some money -wasting situation, and I only have a $ 10 million discount on your stupid damn schedule! “
Then Timothy becomes more serious: ‘I swear to God, Kenny, if you fuck me about this, I will kill you. I’ll kill you, do you hear me? “
Good thing Kenny is all over the world. “If you feel better, I will commit suicide,” he answers before Timothy hangs up.
This is not the first time that “The White Lotus” maker Mike White has recruited a very famous friend to play a small voice in his holiday dramedy. In season 2, Laura Dern is heard on the other side the phone as the alienated wife of the character of Michael Imperioli, Dominic.
