Alan Ritchson, the star of the HIT -TV series ‘Reacher’, went to the same high school as Matt Gaetz and apparently has no good memories of the former Gop legislator.
“That bastard. We are opponents, “the actor told GQ in An interview Published on Wednesday.
“It is shocking for me that the Florida panhandle continues to vote for someone – knowing everything we know about him and the promises he has made behind closed doors about forgiving certain criminals – he’s just not a good guy!” He went on.
He added: “There is a part of me who wants to go into politics to surpass someone like him forever, and there is a part of me that is if, I am not ambiguous enough to succeed in politics.”
Ritchson, whose acting credits are “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and “Blue Mountain State”, lived in Niceville, Florida, for a large part of his youth and graduated from Niceville High School in 2001.
Gaetz graduated from the same school a year earlier.
The right -wing Firebrand is now organizing a show on One America News Network.
Huffpost reached for the conservative network to ask for comments from Gaetz, but did not immediately receive a response.
Gaetz resigned from the congress in November after President Donald Trump had dominated him to become the attorney general.
Gaetz withdrew as the candidate just over a week later in the midst of intensifying controversy about accusations of sexual misconduct and other accusations of inappropriate behavior.
In December, the House Ethics Committee released a report that claimed that Gaetz, who denies misconduct, had paid for a 17-year-old girl for sex and had consumed illegal drugs while he was in the office.
The report mentioned more than $ 90,000 in payments to a dozen women whose committee was “determined probably in connection with sexual activity and/or drug use.”
In a statement on the report before release, Gaetz said He had never had sexual contact with anyone under the age of 18.
“It is embarrassing, although not criminal, that I probably partyed more, drank women and smoked more than I should have had earlier in life,” he wrote.
Gaetz was plagued by scandal for years before Trump chose him to lead the Ministry of Justice.
