Angelina JolieHer career is like her ex-husband’s famous movie… a case of professional Benjamin Button syndrome – because she says she gets better jobs as she gets older.
The actress sat down for an interview with The times – published Saturday – and she says that while many actresses will say they get less desirable roles as they get older, she doesn’t feel the same way.
Angelina says, “I’ve gotten better work as I’ve gotten older. I don’t think about it in terms of the roles offered, but in terms of the life experience you contribute.”
So it sounds less like Angie is getting perfect roles… and more like her perspective is helping her deliver even better performances.
Either way, it’s in stark contrast to what other stars like Geena Davis And Maggie Gyllenhaal — have said in recent years … decrying the difficulty for women to find meaningful roles in Hollywood after reaching a certain age.
As you can imagine, the interviewer tries to ask Angelina questions about her divorce Brad Pitt …but she repeatedly shut down questions about it — with the writer noting that she can only talk about so much, given the dispute they are involved.
During the conversation, Jolie talks about her family life with her children… and admits that work isn’t everything, but her children are.
BTW… Angelina responds to questions about taking on new roles to promote her new movie “Maria” — all about opera singer Maria Callas which is painted in the film while feeling that age is taking away her strength.
Clearly, AJ doesn’t feel the same way.
