Snow is still lingering in Colorado’s mountain ranges on Sunday, and the state’s rocky peaks could gain another inch or two before the storm moves away, according to the National Weather Service.
Another 4 to 6 inches of fresh snow could fall on mountain passes above 30,000 feet – including Loveland Pass, Cumberland Pass, Independence Pass, Berthoud Pass, Eisenhower Tunnel and Wolf Creek Pass – between 6 a.m. Sunday and 6 p.m. Monday. according to NWS forecasters.
Areas above 10,000 feet, especially in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado, could see another 4 to 12 inches of snow on Sunday, according to a Winter storm warning from NWS.

In warmer, lower elevations, showers and thunderstorms will continue intermittently on Sunday and Monday before drying out on Tuesday, according to NWS forecasters.
Denver will see its rainiest weather Monday between 5 a.m. and noon, NWS forecasters said.
