Ariana Grande was impressed when she first saw the Munchkins in the upcoming ‘Wicked’ movie… so much so that she stopped to take photos of them in costume.

Ricardo Ludgero Souzawho plays a Munchkin in ‘Wicked,’ tells TMZ … Ariana went completely fan-girl for her first scene with the Munchkins, asking the actors for photos and chatting with them on set before the cameras started rolling.
Ariana’s reaction came as a complete surprise to the actors playing the Munchkins, says Ricardo… she’s by far the biggest celebrity on set, but adored the littlest people in Oz.
Sneak peeks of Munchkinland in “Wicked” look pretty amazing… and it sounds like Ariana was blown away too.

Ricardo spent most of his time filming on set with Ariana, and he says she completely personified her Glinda The Good Witch character… only to get frustrated when she messed up a take.
The highly anticipated ‘Wicked’ hits theaters next week… and now Ariana’s folks are looking forward to seeing the Munchkins, among others.
