Arsenal -midfielder Thomas Partey is probably not in the Emirates next season in the midst of interest from Barcelona. As reported by TBR Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, the International Ghana International seems to be up to leave the Gunners during his contract course this summer.
The report claims that although Arsenal is looking very high at the former midfielder of Atletico Madrid, it is unlikely that they will offer him a new deal. The Gunners are reportedly considering movements for different players this summer, which forbids them to offer the Ghanaese a lucrative deal.
Partey reportedly attracted interest from Barcelona and his former club Atletico Madrid. He is reportedly also attracted interest in the Series A Giants Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli.
The 31-year-old has also been interested in the Saudi Pro League, but the midfielder probably seems to go back to Spain. Mikel Arteta recently greeted Peidey as a ‘massive player’. He said, as quoted by TBR Football:
“He is a huge player for us and he shown that week in, week out. He started the season really well, really fit. The way he returned after the holidays was probably in the best state he was, which was really useful.”
“Now he has to keep doing that. We have managed for certain minutes with him in the right way and the team does that, and then he does everything he can do to be in the best physical condition,” he added.
Pedey came to Arsenal of Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020 in a deal that reported £ 45 million (€ 51 million). To date, he has made 160 performances for the Gunners, scored 16 times and produces 12 assists.
