The former Bachelor contestant – who appeared alongside the most recent in season 28 of the long-running franchise Bachelor party, Jen Tran – issued a lengthy statement via TikTok after she moved into jenn and Devin Strader‘s breakup drama earlier this week.
“Last night was hard to watch, and my heart goes out to Jenn,” Maria began, referring to the After the last rose episode, which revealed that Devin broke off his and Jenn’s engagement during a phone call. ‘I can’t say anything about her relationship. The only two people who can talk about her relationship are her and Devin.
She continued, “I’m pushing my character too far…I know who I am and my friends and family know who I am. The fact that you let me look through a screen and still see how real I was is beyond words. I understand Jenn needs to talk about it – say your piece, girlfriend, I respect it. I think without the full context, people are led to believe a completely different story.”

“Yes, Devin followed me on Instagram,” she added. “I don’t pay attention to who follows me and who doesn’t. I had no idea about that until people brought it to my attention. I didn’t know. And by then, when I found out, he had been unfollowed. Let me clear the air about something. I’ve never met Devin before.”
During the day AFRconfronted Jenn Devin and questioned why he followed Maria on Instagram the morning after their split. She also claimed he went “clubbing” with a fellow participant. Jeremy Simons instead of mourning their breakup.

“I never dated him,” Maria claimed. “He did his own thing. Did I go out with Jeremy – a night with friends, all together? Yes, I did.”
Maria noted that she “meets people through friends” and “that’s very normal,” and said she “wouldn’t apologize” for her association.

“I have no control over who follows who,” she continued. “But what I do have control over is what I do about it. And what I do is I don’t follow back. And I was never followed back. Now that I see how things turned out, I will never follow that man. And people knew that. So the fact that this whole thing has now come out and the story has changed is beyond me. I have nothing to do with ending the relationship. Like I said, that’s for them to talk about.”
“My character, my innocence, my peace are important to me. And I won’t make that up for anyone,” she concluded. “This is the last thing I want. Let’s just leave it alone.”
