Some employees at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that were dismissed by the Trump government have been invited to get back to work.
About 180 employees received an e -mail about their labor status, according to the Associated Press. The e-mail went out on March 4 with a subject line with the text: “Read this e-mail immediately.”
The office report said that the step was taken “after further revision and consideration.” The employees were fired on February 15. They were told in the e -mail that their termination messages had been withdrawn and that they had to be at work on Wednesday 5 March Associated PressThat said: “Our apologies for every disruption that may have caused this.”
It was not immediately known whether one of the recovered employees worked in areas with food safety and outbreak investigations.
The dismissal from the CDC partly concerned new employees and probation staff who were at the agency in the first three years.
The Food and Drug Administration found similar dismissals where at least 90 people were terminated via e-mail on a Saturday evening in mid-February. Ten of those employees worked with food safety with chemical additives.
