Chernin Entertainment, part of The North Road Company, has promoted both Tracey Cook and Kaitlin Dahill to head the company’s television division.
The announcement was made by Chernin Entertainment president Jenno Topping, to whom Cook and Dahill will continue to report.
“Tracey and Kaitlin are among the most talented executives in the industry,” said Topping. “Their contributions over the past decade have been integral to the success of Chernin Entertainment, which in turn has driven the growth of the wider North Road portfolio, and they have positioned us for continued success by leading our exceptional upcoming list. Their appointment to head the television division is one of many ways we are seizing the opportunities in this changing market, as we become more agile and creative in identifying new talent and content.”
Cook and Dahill oversee several shows on Chernin’s current slate, including upcoming series like “Man on Fire” and “The Madness” at Netflix, and “Chief of War” at Apple TV+.
Cook first joined Chernin 11 years ago and has since produced shows like Apple TV+’s “See” and “Truth Be Told” and Netflix’s “Bombay Begums.” She started in the company’s film division, where she worked on projects such as Paul Feig’s ‘Spy’ and Tim Burton’s ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’. Earlier in her career, she worked in WME’s talent department.
Dahill is currently developing a series written by New York Times bestselling author Amy Chozick, with Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy attached to star at Netflix, as well as a “Sweet Valley High” series alongside Fake Empire. Before joining Chernin Entertainment, Dahill was an executive at Marvel Television. She began her career in production, working on four seasons of Jason Katim’s Emmy-nominated NBC series “Parenthood.”
