Cherry Creek Food Hall is closing in Greenwood Village

Two years after purchasing Cherry Creek Food Hall & Brewery for $5.2 million, Houston-based RCI Hospitality Holdings Co. plans to close the business on November 30, according to a Facebook post.

RCI purchased the business, 6575 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., from renowned Denver chef and restaurateur Troy Guard, who opened it in 2021. At the time it was known as Grange Hall and housed several Guard concepts, along with a brewery and a few other restaurants.

“Honestly, we weren’t interested in selling, but RCI came back to us three times, and each time they did, the price kept getting higher and higher,” Guard told JS at the time, adding that he was selling because of the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

RCI is a publicly traded company that owns numerous restaurants and strip bars across the country, including Diamond Cabaret and PT’s Showclub. The company looked to Grange Hall as a way to introduce its Bombshells sports bar brand, similar to Hooters and Twin Peaks.

Ultimately, the dining room was renamed and all concepts were replaced.

An RCI executive did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
