In a video posted from the infamous rooftop, Crane said: “I’m here in the building where the alleged sniper made his shot. It’s not that steep at all. We just had a 70-year-old man here who easily climbed onto the roof.”
He added: “See that water tower behind me? If the Secret Service or anyone had sniper teams, this guy wouldn’t have been able to reach this roof five feet. He would have been taken out. Behind me you see the windows where the secret service was probably behind on the second floor of this building. It makes you wonder why they couldn’t dispatch the individual quickly.
‘And then behind me, here where those red roofs are, there was the stage, there the president gave his speech. There are a lot of questions here at Butler, but we look forward to monitoring and getting to the bottom of this and making sure it never happens again.
