A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms from Colorado’s high mountains to the plains Wednesday afternoon, the state said. National Weather Service.
Some of the storms could be severe in northern Colorado, with gusty winds combined with brief heavy rain and hail, weather service meteorologists say.
The high temperature was expected to reach 84 degrees in Denver on Wednesday, before dropping to 56 degrees overnight. Forecasters expected generally cooler weather on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs on Thursday remaining in the 70s, before a warming trend over the weekend would carry into next week with temperatures once again rising above 90 degrees.
