Sergio Agius And David Stancombe ran the 2025 London Marathon in honor of their daughters, who were killed in one Taylor Swift-theme dance class.

The pair completed the race on Sunday 27 April, with London Express reporting that Aguiaar became emotional when he fell to the floor. After that, Aguiar was completely smiling when he held a medal and wore a T-shirt with a photo of deceased daughter Alice Dasilva Aguiar. The T-shirt also included Gofundme Information to raise money for a playground at Churchtown Primary School in memory of Alice and fellow victim Bebe King.

Stancombe, for his part, gave a thumb up after ending the race. He also wore a white T-shirt with the text ‘Elsie’s father’, and brought a tribute to daughter Elsie Dot Stancombe. The clothing also contained the story of Charity Elsie, which was made in October 2024 in honor of Elsie.

In July 2024, Alice, Bebe and Elsie were deadly stabbed in a Swift theme dance and yoga class in Southport, England, about 20 miles north of Liverpool. Local police arrested Axel RudakubanaWho at that time, that same month was 17 and accused him of murder.

“The horror of yesterday’s attack in Southport is constantly washing over me, and I am just completely in shock,” she wrote at the time through her Instagram story. “The loss of life and innocence, and the terrible trauma brought everyone who was there, the families and First Responders. These were only small children in a dance class. I am a complete loss for how I can once convey my sympathies to these families.”

Members of the British royal family also responded to the attack, with Prince William And Princess Kate Middleton Visiting First Responders who helped the victims in October 2024. King Charles III Also held a private audience with survivors and their families in Clarence House. They also worked with the Blue Light Card Foundation to set up a National Police and the Welfare Service, and offered donations to those who need psychological and physical rehabilitation after the incident.

In January, the Associated Press reported that Rudakubana was sentenced to 52 years in prison. According to the exhaust, Judge Julian Goose called the incident “the most extreme, shocking and exceptionally serious crime”. Goose explained that Rudakubana could not be sentenced to life without a conditional release, because he was under 18 at the time of crime.
