Denver police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old woman whose body was found murdered in the City Park West neighborhood.
Police issued a crime alert Friday about the murder of Monet Grace Mckittrick, nicknamed “Josie,” who asked for the public’s help in her investigation.
On Wednesday, she was found dead with signs of trauma near East 16th Avenue and North High Street, police told JS on Friday. It was originally investigated as an outdoor death after it was reported in the 1900 block of 16th Avenue around 5:30 p.m.
Police are working with the Office of the Medical Examiner to determine Mckittrick’s cause of death. Spokespeople for the medical examiner did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Detectives have not yet made any arrests. They are asking anyone with information to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
