Dodge Avenger wanted in connection with fatal collision in Denver

Denver police issued a warrant Thursday Medina Alert for a gray 2011 Dodge Avenger that was involved in a fatal collision in the Barnum area on August 3.

The Dodge was last seen Wednesday around noon near First Avenue and Newton Street with a temporary Colorado license plate 6338564, The Denver police reported this in a warning.

According to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, the vehicle was involved in a crash that killed 31-year-old Walter Salcido-Luna near Federal Boulevard and First Avenue.

Salcido-Luna was riding a motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with another vehicle and was thrown from the road. He was then struck by the Dodge, according to Denver police.

He died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the medical examiner.
