Two weeks after the Emmys, the actor skipped a FanX event he was scheduled to be in Salt Lake City from September 26 to 29. A statement read: “We regret to announce that Dick Van Dyke will not be able to travel to FanX.
“He expresses his gratitude to everyone who continues to support him, but at almost 99 years old, traveling and communicating with thousands of people is more than he can do at the moment.”
Feeding the worriesthe TV star was spotted looks seriously weak on September 23 as he hobbled to his car with the aid of a cane.
When asked if he had plans for his 99th birthday on December 13, he admitted, “I’m just praying I make it.”
