“The sound is huge, with pumping disco beats and Elton Johns balladic piano rock that blares. The costumes dazzle. The catwalk models sashay from all directions as the lights glow red, blue and white for Paris Fashion Week.
“It’s quite big, but maybe it should have gone home, because what exactly is this? A prosecco hour musical, smoothly directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, who brought the 2006 film with Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway to a close. centimeter-accurate replicas of his haute couture-clad life, but without conquering his icy heart.”
