The European Central Bank announced an interest rate reduction of 25-base point on Thursday, as expected, in its fifth reduction since the central bank began to relax the monetary policy in June last year.
The reduction brings the deposit facility of the ECB, the most important rate, to 2.75%. Markets had a chance of more than 90% on a 25-based point point for the announcement.
