The FX -Comedy series “English teacher” has been renewed for season 2, Variety has learned.
The series originally debuted on FX and Hulu in September 2024 for positive reviews. Brian Jordan Alvarez created the series and also stars. Together with Alvarez, the Cast Stephanie Koenig, Enrico Colantoni, Sean Patton and Carmen Christopher.
“‘English teacher’ was one of the most much -praised new shows of 2024 and we are grateful to producers, writers, casts, directors and crew for the creative excellence of the show,” said Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment. “We’re looking forward to the new season.”
The news comes after accusations of sexual violence against Alvarez made by Jon Ebeling, his former friend and co-star from “The Gay and Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo” Instagram Story Post in August before he expanded the issue in an article Published by New York Magazine In December. In the report, Ebeling also claims that the writer of the teacher of English and Ster Koenig played a role in maintaining his harmful dynamics with Alvarez.
