Erik Menendez is outraged by the new Netflix series about how he and his brother interact Lyle notoriously murdered their parents in 1989… and he says Ryan Murphy went out of his way to defame the infamous siblings!
Here’s the deal… “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menéndez Story” debuted Thursday on Netflix… and dramatically details what happened before, during and after the brothers shot their wealthy parents Jose And Mary Louise “Kitty” Menéndez.
The actual Erik called BS on the series… and slammed RM for his “naïve and inaccurate” portrayal of the brutal house murders that made international headlines.
“I believed we had moved past the lies and ruinous character portrayals of Lyle and created a caricature of Lyle rooted in horrible and egregious likes that were rampant on the show,” Erik said in a lengthy rant posted through his wife. Tammi Menendez‘s X account.
Erik flatly accuses RM of going out of his way to portray the brothers… who were once again convicted of the brutal murder of their own parents… in the worst possible light… due to the brothers’ accusations to leave out. serious abuse by their father.
“So now Murphy shapes his horrible story through vile and disgusting character portrayals of Lyle and me and disheartening smears,” Erik says.
As is almost common knowledge: the brothers were convicted of first-degree murder in 1996 and claimed at trial that the double murderers were killed out of fear for their lives after decades of violent and sexual abuse… their hands on the massive inheritance .

Remember, Menudo member Roy Rossello claimed that their father, Jose, raped him …and their lawyer Mark Geragos told us last year why Roy’s claim – and a newly found letter from Erik – could make the difference in court if they get a new trial.

It doesn’t seem like there’s any major legal movement happening right now… but if an appeal is successful, RM may have a new chapter in its story.
