Season 2 of Extraordinary fans did not disappoint and yielded many crazy adventures and rude humor. The second episode included a musical, a trip to the subconscious, family dramas and even a possession.
Emma Moran, the maker of the series, again took viewers to visit the people in their twenties who try to get their lives under control. As if adulthood was not complicated enough, Carrie, Kash and Jizzlord also had to deal with their super powers, which became the source of unforeseen accidents.
Jen, on the other hand, continued her journey in search of her powers. As usual, everything turned out to be different than she could have imagined.
Extraordinary is one of the most interesting series made by Disney and certainly one of the most original productions in the super hero genre. But what does the future have for this edgy story? We have completed everything we know about the future of extraordinary.
Unfortunately, no. Disney canceled the show despite the cliffhanger at the end of season 2.
As declared a Disney representative (via Variety):
Disney+ original series ‘Extraordinary’ will not return for a third season on the service. We are so proud of the hilarious, award -winning series that was brought to life by the incredibly talented British and Irish cast and crew, our production partners at Sid Gentle films and the exceptional writing talent of maker Emma Moran.
Can another platform take over the series? So far there is no news about this subject, but we will update this article as soon as information appears.

As we mentioned above, extraordinary has not been renewed for a third season. However, this is where the story gone:
Spoilers for the second season of extraordinary.
In season 2, Jen finally joined the Power Discovery Program and tried to discover why she has no super powers. Together with mental adviser George, she tore through her crushed, distorted subconscious and confronted old traumas. Although the therapy seemed to work, Jen had to stop when it came to light that she was involved in an affair with her therapist.
But that was not the only romantic problem for Jen. After it came out that Jizzlord had a family, Jen got an unhealthy rivalry with his wife, Nora, an apparently perfect influencer. She managed to win this collision – especially since the lies of Nora were revealed.
Kash and Carrie were also confronted with their own problems. After falling apart, they both tried to arrange their lives again, but it seemed that they still felt something for each other. In the end Kash started to date Clark, a colleague from the work. Carrie, on the other hand, decided to take care of herself and to work on her independence. However, the ex-Couple chooses to stay good friends.
The season ended with an unexpected event. While he threw waste in the void at the landfill, Kash Jen accidentally pushed into an abyss. The girl was in a mysterious world on the other side.

If the show were picked up, the story would almost certainly focus on bringing Jen out of the place in which she landed. There was another world on the other side of the void, but in the final of season 2 we only got a glimpse. Is it an alternative reality? Or the future or the past of Jen’s world? Or a completely different planet?
It would also have been nice to see what would happen to Kash and Carrie after they decided to stop dating – whether they would come together again or find new partners. The same applies to Jen and Jizzlord, who were in love with each other in season 2.
The third season could finally have answered the biggest question in the series … could Jen finally get super powers? And what will those forces be? Unfortunately, we will never know what great skills could have without new episodes.
