Farnborough International Airshow started with a bang today, with an astonishing £39.3 billion (USD51 billion) worth of deals announced on the opening day.

Among the deals concluded, 163 firm aircraft orders stood out, worth £4.6 billion for Britain. The day’s agreements included 114 optional aircraft and engine commitments, in addition to several service agreements, indicating a strong pipeline of future activity.
The figures were shared by ADS Group, the trade body representing the UK’s aviation, defence, security and space sectors, and organizers Farnborough International.
