‘Get Together’ singer Jesse Colin Young’s cause of death revealed

Folk rock singer Jesse Colin Young died of a heart attack … TMZ learned.

According to the office of the Coroner of Aiken County in South Carolina, the singer of the Youngbloods died of cardiac complications of atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease.

In the case report, obtained by TMZ, the coroner says that Jesse died on Sunday at 3.13 pm and the way of death was classified as natural.

The documents also reveal that Jesse died in Aiken Regional Medical Center.

As we first reported … Jesse was home on Sunday afternoon when paramedics were called to his home and he was transported to a hospital where he was Death pronounced.

He was famous for his time with the counterculture of the sixties Folk Rock Band The Youngbloods … plus a long and successful solo career.

Jesse was 83 … and the case report notes that his body is now in a funeral center in South Carolina.
