YouTube has officially released a cheaper Premium Lite subscription for the streaming service.
The new Tier is aimed at users who are interested in content than music videos. So that can be vlogs, video -ingays, training videos, tutorials, gameplaythroughs, podcasts and more.
It means that people can view this content advertising-free and download videos to view offline.
The new plan is now priced live in America at $ 7.99 per month, just over half the price of a standard fully priced subscription.
The Premium Lite plan will initially also roll out to Australia, Germany and Thailand, without a word about a British launch. However, if the price follows the same pattern as the US, we expect it to be around £ 6/£ 7 a month in the UK.
