Jake Shane will appear in season 4 “Hacks”, Variety has learned exclusively.
Shane plays the role of social media Girlie in the fourth season of the Hit Comedy, which will premiere on 10 April at 9 p.m. According to the official logline of the fourth season, “rising tensions such as Deborah and AVA strive to show their late night and let history do.”
Shane is a comedian and podcast -guest with more than 4.9 million followers on social media platforms. His podcast, “Therapuss with Jake Shane”, was launched in January 2024. In their 2024 -sequence report, Spotify “Therapuss” identified as the seventh most expected podcast launch in the US among listeners.
Shane recently played with Alix Earle and Rob Rausch in the Super Bowl commercial for prebiotic soft drink brand Poppi. He is currently organizing his largest tour so far, “Live with Jake Shane”, which will comprise more than 35 cities in North America. He previously organized the Live Tour ‘Therapuss Live’, which coincided with the release of his debut comedy album ‘Puss & Poems’.
“Hacks” plays Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder in the lead roles. The Cast also includes Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky created “hacks” and serve as show runners and executive producers. Downs and Aniello Executation produce through their Paulilu banner, while Statsky does this through First Thought Productions. Michael Schur Executive producers for Fremulon together with David Miner for 3 Arts Entertainment, Morgan Sackett and Joe Mande. The studio is universal television.
