Gaza:
Hamas has accused Israel of “Chantage” and called on the Egyptian and Qatarese mediators to intervene after the office of the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has announced their decision to block the entry of all aid and stocks in Gaza, as an impasse about the armstilstand that has been impassed over the past six weeks.
The Palestinian group said that the movement of Israel was a “cheap extortion, a war crime and a flagrant coup on the (ceasefire) agreement”.
“We call on mediators to put pressure on the occupation to fulfill his obligations under the agreement in all its phases,” said it, adding that the only way to get the hostages back is to adhere to the agreement and start conversations for the second phase.
In a commentary on the suspension of the goods, Senior Hamas -officer Sami Abu Zuhri Reuters said that the decision would affect the cease -the fire interviews, so that his group “does not respond to pressure,” said Reuters news agency.
Israel stops Gaza Aide
Israel on Sunday stopped the accession of all goods and supplies in the Gaza Strip and warned of “extra consequences” if Hamas does not accept a new proposal to expand a fragile -fires. During a press conference, the Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said that Palestinians in Gaza would not get free goods in Gaza and that further negotiations should be linked to the release of the hostages. He said that the United States “understand” the decision of Israel to put the access of goods in Gaza and to blame Hamas for the current stalemate in the conversations.
This was after the office of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said it had adopted a proposal by the envoy of the US President Donald Trump, Steve Witkoff, for a temporary cessation -the Fires in Gaza for Ramadan and Passo periods, hours after the first phase of the previously agreed.
If it agreed, the ceasefire would stop the battle until the end of the Ramadan -fasting period around 31 March and the Jewish Passo holiday holiday around April 20. However, the ceasefire would be conditional to Hamas who releases half of the living and dead hostages on the first day, released with the rest in the conclusion, if an agreement is reached on a permanent ST of it.
Hamas rejects Israel’s proposal
In the meantime, Hamas said that it was dedicated to the originally agreed ceasefires that was planned to go to a second phase, with negotiations aimed at a permanent end of the war, because the idea of a temporary expansion of the 42-day ceasefire rejected.
Reuters told Egyptian sources that the Israeli delegation in Cairo had tried to extend the first phase by 42 days, while Hamas wanted to move to the second phase of the Stakes. Spokesperson Hazem Qassem said on Saturday that the group rejected the “formulation” of Israel to extend the first phase.
Gaza weapons
In the first phase of the cessation -the fires, Hamas handed back more than 33 Israeli hostages and five Thais back in an unplanned release, in exchange for around 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and prisoners from Israeli prisons and the withdrawal of Israeli troops from their positions in Gaza.
According to the original agreement, the second phase was intended to see the start of the negotiations on the release of the remaining 59 hostages, the full withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza and a final end to the war.
However, the conversations never started and Israel said that all his hostages should be returned to fight to stop.
“Israel will not allow -fires without the release of our hostages,” said Netanyahu’s office, and announced that the access of all goods and supplies in the Gaza Strip would be put.
“If Hamas persists in the refusal, there will be extra consequences.”
Attack
In the past six weeks, both parties have accused the others of violating the agreement. But despite repeated hik, it remained in place, while the hostage-prisoner exchange was completed in the first phase.
But there are wide gaps in important areas with regard to a permanent end of the war, including what form a post -war administration of Gaza would take and what the future would be for Hamas, which caused the invasion of Gaza of Israel with his attack on South Israel on October 7, 2023.
The attack killed 1200 people, in the worst one -day loss of life in the history of Israel, and saw 251 people being taken as hostages in Gaza. The Israeli campaign has killed more than 48,000 Palestinians, almost all of its 2.3 million population and left Gaza a Wasteland.
Israel insists that Hamas cannot play a role in the post -war future of Gaza and that its military and ruling structures must be eliminated. It also refuses the Palestinian authority in Gaza, the body that was set up under the Oslo chords three decades ago and that limits a limited board on the occupied West Bank.
Hamas said that it would not insist on the rule of Gaza, who has checked it since 2007, but it should be consulted about what future administration followed. The issue is also confused by Trump’s proposal to remove the Palestinian population from Gaza and redevelop the Coastal enclave as a real estate project under American property.
