Chi McBride has been cast in the upcoming Netflix series “I Will Find You”, Variety has learned exclusively.
McBride agrees with previously announced lead Sam Worthington and cast members Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Logan Browning, ER in Richards and Jonathan Tucker.
Based on the novel of Coben of the same name, the official logline states: “An innocent father (Worthington) who serves life for the murder of his own son receives proof that his child is still alive – and has to break out of prison to find out the truth.”
McBride plays Max Williams, described as “a legend in the Fugitive Task Force of the FBI who stubbornly the escaped scammer Burrough (Worthington) will chase, regardless of how much it tears his personal life apart.”
The recent TV credits of McBride include “This is US” at NBC and “Hawaii Five-O” at CBS. He is also known for his roles in shows such as ‘Boston Public’, ‘Pushing Daisies’, and for expressing Nick Fury in several animated Marvel projects. He played in films such as ‘Gone in 60 Seconds’, ‘I, Robot’, ‘Undercover Brother’ and ‘Let’s go to prison’.
He is taken back by Marks Law Group.
Coben is a co-maker and executive producer on “I Will Find You” via Final Twist Productions. Robert Hull is also a co-maker in addition to serving as an executive producer and showrunner. Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien and John Weber also executive products.
“I will find you” is the latest series from Coben under his Netflix deal. He also entered into a partnership with the streaming giant in the shows ‘Missing You’, ‘Fil me Once’, ‘Stay close’, ‘The Stranger’, ‘The Innocent’, ‘Gone for Good’, ‘Holds Tight’ and ‘The Woods’. Upcoming projects are “trapped” and “road” next to “I will find you.”
