Hayley Erbert counted the top 20 things she likes to husband Derek Hough In honor of his 40th birthday.
“Happy 40th birthday for my favorite person ever,” wrote Erbert, 30, via via Instagram on Saturday 17 May. “This world has been blessed with your presence for 4 decades and I am lucky that you have been in my life for one of those.”
Erbert noted the special meaning of the Dancing with the stars Pro’s birthday by listing some of her husband’s greatest qualities. (She wrote that she wanted to make a Top 40 -taftellen, but “Instagram all allows 20, so that will have to do.”)
At the top of the list were Hough’s ‘sense of adventure’ and ‘sweetness’, as well as his ‘constant’ energy and ‘extremely attentive’.
“Your talent is not of this world. You are a real creative genius,” she wrote. “You have created my spark again to perform. I love you endlessly.”
Erbert also shared some of Hough’s quirky habits, such as his’ impulse to sign [his] Name/initials everywhere. “
“It’s strange, but it’s cute,” she joked. “You are a real weird 🫠 and you make me laugh every day.”
More seriously, Erbert thanked her husband for his ability to “find the light at any time, even if it’s not that great” and praised his “love for our babies [pets]. “

Hough was clearly touched when he answered the post to thank his ‘beautiful warrior wife’. Many of the friends of the couple followed birthday messages for Hough.
“Ahhhh Happy Birthday,” Former Modern family star Sarah Hyland wrote to Hoegh.
Hough’s guy Dancing with the stars pro Valentin “Val” Chmerkovskiy Was a little more saltier in his answer to the birthday message, where he burned his old friend a ‘young donkey’. (Chmerksovskiy became 39 in March.)
On his own Instagram -pageHough revealed on Saturday that he had guaranteed his milestone 40th birthday with Erbert in recent years.

He joked: ‘The last 5 years I have looked in the bathroom mirror and told @hayley.erbert:’ Not bad for 40! “She would always laugh and remember me:” You are not 40 yet, you can’t say that. ” Well, today is the day that I can officially say: “Hey, not bad for 40.” “
Hough was on the side of his wife when she suffered an almost fatal skull hematoma while waiting to go on stage during the ‘Symphony of Dance’ tour of the couple in Washington DC in December 2023. DWTS Pro credited Erbert and his sister Julianne Hough Staying positive during the recovery process, which in turn gave him the strength to support his husband.
“I remember I was calling Julianne because I was hysterical [as Hayley had surgery]And she calmed me a bit, and she says, “You have to talk to her,” Derek remembered as he moaned tears. ” She said, “did something that is soothing and beautiful and just talks to her while she is an operation.” And that was the only time I felt a sense of control. The couple made the knot together in August 2023 after eight years. They met when Hayley came to Derek and Julianne in 2014 during their ‘Move Live’ tour.
