Former Pakistan Batter Basit Ali has praised for Team India Leg Spinner Varun Chakravarthy. De Sluwe Bowler stole the show in the recently closed Five-Match Home T20i series against England against England against England.
Chakravarthy was assessed the player of the series for his 14 wickets about five innings, including a five-wicket distance in the third game in Pune. Basit compared the 33-year-old with ACE spinner Rashid Khan van Afghanistan.
The cricket player expert was also of the opinion that Chakravarthy also fits well in the ODI team of India. Speaking in his latest YouTube video, Basit Ali (from 1:35) explained:
“It started from South Africa and he left everyone. He is a dangerous bowler in T20s, just like Rashid Khan. I think he is also very suitable for 50-over cricket.”
Varun Chakravarthy has been busy since he made a comeback to International Cricket last year. Since his return to the T20i team of India, he has demanded 31 wickets of 12 games.
It is worth noting that the 14 Chakravarthy wickets in the English series are the most by an Indian bowler in a bilateral series. India completed an extensive 150-run victory in the fifth T20i on Sunday at the Wankhede Stadium to complete a 4-1 series victory over England.
Basit suggested that the phenomenal versions of Indian young people will put pressure on senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. He pointed out how the new harvest of the team players showed what they can do with their fearless approach, add (from 3:28):
“These juniors, whether it is Tilak Varma, Abhishe Sharma, Varun Chakravarthy, Shivam Dube and Ravi Bishnoi, have put pressure on the seniors. The ODI series will be a very large series for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Quality players. Now. have seen the Indian fans, selectors and coaches that the new generation is different from the style of the seniors.
Sharma and Kohli will be seen in action during the upcoming ODI series of three games between India and England. The opening material will take place on Thursday, February 6 in Nagpur.
“Fully offside” – Basit Ali about the domination of India in T20i series of five games
Basit Ali stated that although many expected that the T20i series between India and England would be a well -disputed affair, the hosts completely dominated the procedure. He noted that England was a huge defeat in the fifth game, despite winning the Worp
He praised the proactivity of the Indian think tank when the party had focused a big score after being asked to hit first. Abhishek Sharma’s Whirlwind Knock helped the team to register a discouraging 247-run total.
Basit was of the opinion that placing a huge totally crucial was, given the DEW factor. He noticed in the aforementioned video (from 2:03):
“If you analyze this series, the series was not how it should have been. India would have put England completely offside. If you see the last game, England even won the throw. But Sanju Samson’s First-ball Six gave a message that this was How India was how India were thinking that DEW would be a factor.
England went into the fifth T20i without a fight. They were bundled for a meager score of 97 while chasing the huge target, with Mohammed Shami returning with three wickets.
